About us

iris-GmbH infrared & intelligent sensors is a company engaged in development and fabrication of sensor components and products for automatic passenger counting. We develop, fabricate and supply optoelectronic sensors for integration into a variety of systems.

Our main product is a passenger counting system by the name of IRMA. IRMA has been designed for use in public transit systems and it is currently being used in many cities throughout the world.

Specific areas of expertise and know-how at iris include the fields of thermic infrared sensors (FIR), near infrared sensors (NIR) and signal processing.

Beginning with its foundation in 1991 iris-GmbH has continuously striven to improve its technological capabilities. Research projects are dedicated to ongoing development of sensor technologies, signal processing and communications. To facilitate this, iris has been maintaining stable relationships to a number of domestic and foreign research partners.
