IRMA 3D – excellent detection at increased altitude range

At this year´s beginning iris-GmbH presented the DIST 4.08 as current revision of the line of 3D sensors. What is most particular about this sensor is the fact that it counts at an altitude even as high as 3,50 m, thus making it perfectly suitable for its use in buildings. – An innovation achieved by having added a second choice of height to the selection of the sensor´s configurations.

The 3 D sensor has been part of the iris-GmbH´s variety of sensors for already quite a long time resulting in excellent counting results. The system uses an innovative new detection principle: Rapid laser light pulses are emitted within invisible IR range, reflected by objects and registered by the detector. The distance between sensor and object determines the time the light pulse takes between emission and reception. The system generates a 3 D image of the door range and even in tight crowd it detects single persons safely and counts them.

The new sensor type DIST 4.08 is compatible with former types of this line and is capable of replacing any previous sensor type without need to replace the complete system.
