IRMA is now counting in Geneva …
Between the spring and autumn of 2007 iris GmbH technicians installed IRMA BASIC passenger counting systems in nearly 300 vehicles of Geneva's transit authority, Transports Publics Genevois (TPG). An additional 113 new vehicles are currently being delivered to TPG by EvoBus with IRMA passenger counting devices already factory-installed.
It was a formidable challenge to not only handle a large variety of vehicles to be equipped -- including trams, articulated, city, and trolley buses from many different manufacturers -- but to also meet tight deadlines for work completion and inspection. In fact, some IRMA employees temporarily changed their work residence to Switzerland's second-largest city in order to complete the installation according to plan. With this new project, IRMA is proud to gain as a new customer this French-speaking city known throughout the world as the home to many international organizations (UN, WTO, WHO …).
… and Geneva is counting on IRMA!
